A Message from Pastor Crista

I’m Pastor Crista Jardine and I am one of the Lil Kids Pastors here at Gold Creek Community Church. I love to greet the kids and families as they enter the Lil Kids area. My favorite part of a Sunday morning is seeing the kids worshiping and doing the actions to the fun songs we sing. I encourage parents to pop in and see the kids learning about God. I can’t wait to see you on Sunday morning.

Check In:

All kids check in at the tables in the kids lobby before heading to the assigned classroom.

Lil Kid Classes

We have six classes in our Lil Kids Ministry – All classes are assigned by birth date as of September 1st.

  • Birth–Walking – Nursery
  • Walking–24 months – Farm Room
  • 2 year olds – Train Room
  • 3 year olds – Market Room
  • 4 year olds – Northwest Room
  • 5 year olds – Firestation Room

In these classes we focus on providing a safe and fun place for your little ones.

Service Details

At 25 minutes into the service we bring the 2-5 year olds together for a time of worship, announcements and offering. During our praise and worship songs, the kids are encouraged to participate in singing through fun, kid friendly motions and actions. This helps give students an early understanding that praise and worship are not a spectator sport, but rather something in which everyone participates. After this time together, we separate into two classes for an age appropriate Bible lesson. They are provided with a snack (we rotate between Ritz, Graham Crackers and Goldfish) and individual play time, as they continue to learn and explore God’s world. They will bring home color sheets and crafts that will provide you with an idea of the lesson they learned that day.

How long is the service?

Each service is an hour long. Our services run 9:00-10:00, 10:30-11:30, and 12:00-1:00.

How does the check-in/check-out process work?

When you arrive to church Sunday morning, your family will be greeted in our kids lobby by our check-in crew. At one of the check in stations we will help you place your child in the right class. Once your family is checked in, each child will receive a name tag with a code on it. You will receive the parent tag which has the corresponding code for pick up. When you pick up your child, our security team will ask for both your child’s name tag and your parent pick up tag.

When you arrive, your family will be greeted in our kids lobby by our check-in crew and one of our volunteers will help you through the process of registering each child and answering any questions you may have. You will then be led to the Kidz Zone where you and your child can meet Pastor Haylee and check out the room.

In the Kidz Zone, your child will engage in a hands on service with worship, a Bible lesson, grade specific small groups, games, and more. By partaking in the service, we hope to help your child make new friendships, build their relationship with Christ, and of course have fun!

A Message from Pastor Jimmy

I’m Pastor Jimmy Long and I am one of the Elementary Children’s Pastors at Gold Creek Community Church. On a Sunday morning, you will find me in the Bridge Room with the 4th and 5th graders playing outrageous games, worshiping at the top of my lungs, and preaching about how great our God is. I want every child that walks into the Bridge Room to feel welcome and at home, so I have done my best to make the Bridge Room the ultimate hangout spot! I strive to make Sunday service the best hour of your child’s week because it is my best hour too!

Do you love your connect group and wish there was one for your child to join? Well, you’re in luck because we offer Connect Groups for 4th and 5th graders every Tuesday from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the Bridge Room. These groups are a great way for your child to make connections outside of Sunday morning and further their knowledge about the Bible! Have your child come check it out for a crazy, fun, and impactful evening! If you know right away that your child would like to get involved, click the link below to register!
