My kids love going to the park and they always want to be pushed on the swings over and over… and over again! I’m so excited spring is finally here, and we can be outside when it’s warm and beautiful.
Spring break is right around the corner, and as I’m planning for it, I think back to what it was like when I had Spring Break when I was a kid. My parents worked so hard and they were both working all day, everyday, and we didn’t really get to go anywhere for Spring Break. It was spent trying to keep ourselves busy inside of the house! I have the luxury of being able to be with my kids more during the day now, and I love taking them outside and being in the nature God created for us. I often think we take for granted this beautiful place; living in the Northwest. It’s always green and mountainous and we forget just how beautiful it is. Then Spring hits, and it’s like God is saying, “Look at what I’m capable of creating for you to enjoy!” God created all of this nature for us to enjoy and spend time in with our family.
As you’re preparing for Spring and Spring Break from school, whether you’re traveling or not, I encourage you to be out in nature. Go to the park, go on a nature walk. Do something to enjoy what God has given us; all of his blessings of nature and spend time with your family this week.
Have a great week, and I’ll see you on Sunday!
